Rose Iced Latte

 Rose Iced Latte

Rose Iced Latte. Refreshing, pleasantly sweet and infused with rose petals, it's a must-have drink in any season.

Rose Iced Latte

The best drinks are homemade ones! Homemade is my preference in any instance over store-bought beverages. The sugar content is so high in commercial beverages, besides the other additives and natural flavours.

Preparing your lattes at home gives you control of what goes inside. A homemade Rose Latte, for example, it's easier to make than you think.

Firstly, food-grade dry rosebuds are available at most Middle Eastern specialty stores or natural health stores, or online. The price is also accessible, and you get to make so many lattes or teas from one standard package of 100 grams. I bought my dry rosebuds almost a year ago, and I still have nearly half of a package left. It's convenient!

If you want to take it to the next level, as I did, you plan to buy your fresh organic roses once or twice a year and get the beautiful fresh rose petals to make your own syrup. Trust me; it's such a luxurious syrup worth making. It keeps so well in the fridge.

For this Rose Iced Latte, I did use my Rose Petals & Cardamom Syrup (Recipe Link), and it literally takes less than two minutes to prepare your cold latte. Once your dive into making your own syrup, you'll never go back to anything else. :)

However, a handy back-up solution to the syrup is the freshly infused dry rose petals that make your “tea" then add to the cold milk and ice cubes. I find that using one full tablespoon of dry rosebuds to only half of a cup of water makes the most aromatic rose infusion, perfectly balancing the Rose Iced Latte. If you think it's too floral for your liking, add fewer dry rosebuds next time. Play around until you find the flavour balance you enjoy the most.

Rose Iced Latte

This is one drink that I encourage you to try, friends. It's so delicious! I can't tell you how delightful it is to drink it, especially in the summertime. If you'd like a warm version, here's my Cardamom Rose Tea Latte Recipe to check out. As you can see, I do like my rose drinks. :)

Leave a comment below if you give this a try. I'd be curious to know what you think about my Rose Iced Latte!
