After a long week and not in the mood to cook for myself on a Friday evening, I’ve come up with this quick, refreshing and satisfying healthy smoothie.
All you need to do is add all the ingredients in the blender. Yes! But you already knew that. :)
I’m not sure about you, but I have days when I’m not in the mood for food after work, especially on warmer days. I love to have bites of cold fresh fruit or a simple crunchy salad.
You can never go wrong when it comes to smoothies! It’s the best way to start or end your day with a delicious mouth-watering, and nutritious smoothie.
Come on, take a quick look at my Berry Tasty Smoothie…super inviting, right?
All the ingredients that I’ve used in this smoothie are meant to nourish and energize, but also create a creamy and rich texture hard to resist.
For all my smoothies I like to use a creamy plant-based mylk, like cashew or oat mylk. These are my top two favourites. You can’t go wrong with either one.
For added nutrition value, and healthy fats my choice this time was flax seeds and hemp hearts. The hemp hearts are the best addition to make a creamy smoothie or salad dressing. They are an excellent plant-based source of protein and essential fatty acids.
I carry these hemp hearts with me everywhere, except in my bag. You get the point. :)
